Happy The Hobo Resurfaces – After 20 Years – to Grant 100 Wishes

Kids’-show-host turned cult icon, Happy the Hobo has resurfaced after 20 years. Where has he been hiding? For the last 20 years, he has quietly built the only gourmet-flavored fortune cookie bakery in America.

Indianapolis, IN – October 20th, 2009 (PressReleasePivot) — Bringing fun and laughter to kids all over the Midwest was Happy the Hobo’s claim to fame. Airing out of Ft. Wayne, the successful kids TV show Happy’s Place reached families all over Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. The original Happy the Hobo, Mike Fry, suddenly left his show in 1989, even though there was a two year wait for tickets at the time. Many people have wondered ‘Where did he go’ and ‘What is he doing now’?

“Goal-setting and achievement has always been a huge part of my life,” says Mike Fry, the original Happy the Hobo, turned inventor and CEO of FancyFortuneCookies. “I loved incorporating goal achievement into my kids’ show. And even though I loved being Happy on TV, I left to pursue my dreams of inventing and marketing my own product. I left to start my own company ( http://www.FancyFortuneCookies.com ).”

His company, FancyFortuneCookies in Indianapolis, IN manufactures custom fortune cookies for individuals and even other celebrities. These aren’t ordinary fortune cookies. Mike’s custom cookies come in gourmet flavors and fun colors. Flavors like Sweet Cappuccino and Outrageous Orange are just two of his most loved flavored fortune cookies. For 20 years he has been marketing his concept, manufacturing, and shipping personalized fortune cookies across the country. Oprah used FancyFortuneCookies not just once, but twice to promote Oprah’s Angel’s Network. Other celebrity clients include: Mr. Rogers, Jackie Chan, Conan O’Brien, Donald Trump, Joan Rivers, and many more.

Now Happy the Hobo is once again trying to bring a little laughter and fun into people’s lives. How? By granting 100 Wishes in 100 Days. Not just any wishes, but fortune cookie wishes.

“I was sitting at Starbucks, drinking my coffee, and working on my new book project, when I thought I want to do something to pay it forward to all the fans that have supported me over the years,” says Mike Fry, referring to his time at Channel 55 as Happy the Hobo. “I really loved the idea of granting wishes as a way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of FancyFortuneCookies.”

Mike Fry’s wife started a Happy’s Place Facebook fan page that has grown to over 6000 people in just a few months. Mike really wanted to give back to his community of fans, which is why he started 100 Wishes in 100 Days.

What is 100 Wishes in 100 Days:
