The Unincorporated Man by Dani Kollin and Eytan Kollin Nominated for Prometheus Award

Debut novel “The Unincorporated Man” has been nominated for the Prometheus Award, a Science-Fiction Award given by The Libertarian Futurist Society.

Los Angeles, CA – September 23, 2009 (PressReleasePivot) — Recently released Science Fiction novel The Unincorporated Man has been given the distinction of being nominated for The Prometheus Award for Best Novel. Prometheus winners will be announced at the World Science Fiction Convention in Melbourne, Australia in 2010.

Debut novel The Unincorporated Man is the first book of three written by the Kollin brothers and purchased by Tor. It was released March 29, 2009 in hardback ( http://store.tor.com/book/9780765318992 ) and Amazon Kindle editions and is also available in audiobook editions from Audible.com and Tantor Media.

The book ( http://sn.im/the-unincorporated-man ) is set approximately 300 years into the future, when formerly wealthy Justin Cord is revived from a cryogenic chamber. He awakens to find that people are now incorporated, and very few are their own majority shareholders. While starvation and extreme poverty have been eliminated, so have the rights of people to make their own major life decisions.

“It’s a prestigious honor,” said Dani Kollin. “Made even greater since we’re first-time authors.”

The Prometheus Award for Best Novel is a special recognition of science fiction authors whose books explore themes of freedom. It originated in 1979, was officially founded in 1982, and is awarded annually by The Libertarian Futurist Society.

“My brother and I are thrilled beyond imagination that our book has been nominated,” said Kollin’s brother and co-author Eytan Kollin, who teaches history, government and economics.
