iPad iBookstore, ScrollMotion Iceberg, Amazon Kindle, Sony eBook Readers Now Carrying L. Ron Hubbard Golden Age Stories Titles

Author Services, Inc., established specifically to handle the multi-genre line of stories written by L. Ron Hubbard in the 1930s and 1940s, announces the availability of the Stories from the Golden Age in several popular eBook formats.

Hollywood CA – August 2, 2010 (via PressReleasePivot) As part of a six year plan to broadly release the multi-genre line of stories written by L. Ron Hubbard in the 1930s and 1940s, Author Services, Inc., the literary agency established specifically to handle Mr. Hubbard’s many works, has announced the launch of the Stories from the Golden Age in several popular eBook formats.

“Mr. Hubbard had already been acknowledged by Guinness World Records as the most published author in the world,” stated Gunhild Jacobs, Deputy Executive Director for Author Services, “so it was appropriate to take advantage of the digital age of books to help maintain this record.”

Citing the global increase in demand for downloadable books, a project was undertaken to make the full fiction library of L. Ron Hubbard broadly available as eBooks concurrent with their print edition releases.

“In addition to having these exciting stories published in North America as paperbacks and audiobooks,” Jacobs continued, “we wanted to ensure that they were available as eBooks as quickly as possible.” And so it was announced that in addition to being made available on the Amazon Kindle and Sony Reader, Hubbard’s Stories from the Golden Age were now also available via iTunes on the ScrollMotion app, Iceberg Reader, and in the iPad iBookstore, reaching 80 countries. The Association of American Publishers earlier this year reported that while book sales in 2009 showed an overall drop of 1.8%, the eBook segment had the strongest showing in the year with sales jumping 176%. While this only represented a fraction of the total industry sales, it is clearly indicative of a growing trend to electronic formats in publishing.
