Dr. Sergio Segarra, Expert Disaster and Emergency Physician, partners with Haiti Hospital Resurrection Fund

The Haiti Hospital Resurrection Fund (HHRF) announced today that it has partnered with expert Miami-based disaster and emergency physician, Dr. Sergio Segarra, who brings over 20 years of extensive experience to the HHRF team. Dr. Segarra will personally visit Haiti within the next three days to assess the conditions and help to prepare for HHRF’s hospital resurrection efforts.

Reston, VA – January 22, 2010 (PressReleasePivot) — The Haiti Hospital Resurrection Fund (HHRF) today announced that it has partnered with expert Miami-based Disaster and Emergency Physician, Dr. Sergio Segarra, MD, FACEP. Dr. Segarra’s involvement is a welcomed addition to the rapidly growing team of partners and alliances actively engaged with and supporting the HHRF. With over 20 years of experience as an Emergency Physician, Dr. Segarra brings extensive multiple casualty and disaster response experience to the HHRF team, as well as years of culturally sensitive knowledge gleaned through his active involvement in outreach and education activities in the Caribbean region. In addition to agreeing to join the Board of Directors for the HHRF, Dr. Segarra will personally travel to Haiti within the next three days to obtain a first-hand view of the conditions and requirements for hospital infrastructure to ensure the responsible and maximum utility of HHRF resource deployment.
